Conner Bingham Youth League
The Conner Bingham Youth League (CBYL) was created for hockey players wanting a more recreational and less time consuming experience than our travel programs.
Ages
Our youth league is for kids ages 7-14 who (at a minimum) have some basic mobility on the ice. Kids 7-8 years old who are learning to skate are also welcome!
When
The CBYL has two, 6-week sessions. Each session meets once per week on Sundays from 4:45-5:45 pm. There will be approximately 20 minutes of instruction followed by 40 minutes of scrimmage.
Where
The CBYL will have all activities at the Oshkosh 20th Ave YMCA.

Who is Conner Bingham?
Conner Bingham grew up playing hockey and fell in love with the sport early. Conner got his start in a Mite Prep House League in Illinois, eventually moving into Travel hockey with the Cyclone Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois. Conner played college hockey right here in Oshkosh for UW-Oshkosh. Conner passed away on April 29th, 2023. We chose to name our non-travel youth league after Conner as a tribute to this young man and a reminder that hockey is about friends, family and fun.
What equipment is provided and what does my skater need?
Conner Bingham Youth League participants will be provided all hockey gear except for a STICK + SKATES.
How are teams decided for the scrimmage?
The CBYL uses pickup hockey style team formation. The teams will be frequently changed to ensure parity, friend forming, sportsmanship and safety. It's all about fun!
Can players move from Conner Bingham Youth League to travel hockey?
Per WAHA, CBYL players cannot move to travel hockey during the season--they would have to wait until the following season to register for travel league.
Can I sign my hockey player up for both sessions right away?
Yes!
