The Conner Bingham Youth League (CBYL) was created for those kids who can't commit to our Travel Program. This program was created for siblings, wrestlers, basketball players, or other multi-sport athletes who want to play hockey recreationally but otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity.
This program is not open to current Oshkosh Warbirds Travel players, however, Warbirds Travel players can help with coaching and instruction of their friends.
Conner Bingham grew up playing hockey and fell in love with the sport early. Conner got his start in a Mite Prep House League in Illinois, eventually moving into Travel hockey with the Cyclone Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois. Conner played college hockey right here in Oshkosh for UW-Oshkosh. Conner passed away on April 29th, 2023. We chose to name our non-travel youth league after Conner as a tribute to this young man and a reminder that hockey is about friends, family and fun.

Our youth league is for kids ages 7-14 who (at a minimum) have some basic mobility on the ice. Kids 7-8 years old who are learning to skate are also welcome!
The CBYL has two, six week sessions. Each session meets once per week on Sundays, 4:45-5:45 pm. There will be approximately 20 minutes of instruction, 40 minutes of games.

The CBYL will have all activities at the Oshkosh 20th Ave YMCA.
Equipment is provided for participants in the Conner Bingham Youth League. Players are only required to have their own skates and sticks (approximately $75). Players are also welcome to source their own equipment if they so choose.

Skaters will receive a CBYL jersey to keep!
The CBYL uses pickup hockey style team formation. The teams will be frequently changed to ensure parity, friend forming, sportsmanship and safety. It's all about fun!
Due to WAHA (Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association) rostering rules, should a Conner Bingham Youth League participant wish to move to a Travel team, they must wait for the following season.
