The Oshkosh Area Youth Hockey Association (OAYHA) is a volunteer organization dedicated to providing a safe and fun environment for youth ice hockey in Oshkosh and the surrounding area. We are committed to the development of individual and team skills, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork and developing self-esteem through the sport of ice hockey.
The Oshkosh Area Youth Hockey Association (OAYHA) offers high-quality, age-appropriate programming for youth in and around Oshkosh. OAYHA programming aims to accomplish worthy personal and team goals through individual effort and teamwork. All stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, committee members, coaches, parents, participants, and fans, fulfill the OAYHA’s vision and mission, by adhering to the organization’s core values.

Our Core Values adhere to the core values of USA Hockey, the Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association. They guide everything we do because they define our organizational culture and support our Vision and Mission. All stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, committee members, coaches, parents, volunteers, fans, and participants, uphold our core values to fulfill OAYHA’s vision and mission.
Growth – We believe that it is our responsibility to grow the game of hockey in the Oshkosh Area.
Sportsmanship – We believe that all OAYHA stakeholders must exhibit the highest standards of sportsmanship.
Fiscal Responsibility – We believe that through proper administration and fiscal management OAYHA can keep hockey affordable for youth at all age and skill levels.
Training – We believe that proper training for players and coaches is imperative.
Fair and Equitable Opportunities – We believe that all players, regardless of age, gender and skill level, should have a fair and equitable opportunity to play and enjoy the game of hockey.
Communication – We believe that communication with and among stakeholders strengthens the organization.
Fun – We believe that in order for players to enjoy the game of hockey, build lifelong friendships, and create long-lasting memories, they have to have fun while participating in the game.
Safety – We believe that in order to have a safe experience, players need to have appropriate equipment, be coached and supervised by trusted adults who have passed background screenings, and be trained in an environment that helps them learn the game, improve their skills, and builds character.
